To address shortcomings and close the gaps:

  • Focus on change a few critical behaviors – help people to see positive change quickly
  • Build capabilities that make changes last – leveraging peer networks and measurement/ tracking, and
  • Take charge of cultural evolution – not just leader-driven, by him/ herself – but by “seeding” new behaviors throughout the organization.

Culture is the explicit and implicit “rules” that govern how people behave, what they value, what they pay attention to, how they make decisions, and more.
